As patients face new circumstances like delayed care and changes in Medi-Cal coverage, California's public health care systems have renewed their focus on outreach and engagement as they work to bring in assigned patients for their care, reach hard-to-engage populations, and close care gaps. In this workshop, participants will learn successful outreach and engagement strategies to improve population health, including models for centralizing outreach operations, tech-based approaches, and collaboration with health plans.

Safety and Travel Policies

All CAPH/SNI-hosted events require attendees to be fully vaccinated to attend. At this time, fully vaccinated is defined as 2 weeks after your second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson's vaccine. We will ensure the venues booked practice proper safety protocols that align with CDC safety guidelines. In addition, all event staff and attendees are encouraged to wear masks. This requirement is consistent with the CAPH/SNI's policy for our staff and is becoming standard practice for in-person conferences and other events and activities.

Travel reimbursement is available for 4 people per member system. For participants traveling fewer than 150 miles to the meeting venue, CAPH/SNI will reimburse 4 participants per system up to $175 per attendee. For participants traveling more than 150 miles to the meeting venue, CAPH/SNI will reimburse 4 participants per system up to $500 per attendee. CAPH/SNI will only reimburse economy airfare. Same-day travel is highly encouraged whenever possible. Food and beverage are not reimbursable. Please attach receipts and map/directions for mileage reimbursement. NOTE: All receipts must be submitted in one PDF file with the expense form. Reimbursement should be provided within 15 days of the meeting.
